More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Environment** Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\. **Job Summary** AECOM’s Environmental Unit is seeking a talented individual to be a Project Specialist or Engineer for Water/Wastewater permitting and compliance in our Houston office\. The selected candidate will report to an assigned Project Manager and work under their direction on water quality compliance projects\. The selected candidate must be capable of understanding technical work requirements and be able to work with minimal oversight\. The job requires routine travel in and outside of the Houston Metropolitan Area, and the candidate’s assignments will involve site visits to industrial facilities where they may be the only AECOM employee present\. The candidate will need to be able to make responsible decisions in the field with direction by the Project Manager and must also have a desire to learn and stay abreast of current developments in water quality regulations\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Conducting site visits and performing water compliance assessments at industrial sites + Conducting water quality investigations + Writing technical reports + Developing and maintaining knowledge of technical and regulatory water quality issues + Conducting regulatory analyses for large and small projects to determine the applicability of industrial source operations to various state and federal water quality regulations and standards + Preparing TPDES water quality permit applications for small and large projects + Preparing SPCC and SWPP Plans for industrial clients **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Physical Science + 4\+ years of relevant technical experience + Experienced in report writing, preparing wastewater/storm water permit applications, preparing requisite regulatory plans and documents, performing engineering calculations and in performing compliance assessments at industrial facilities + Must have familiarity with state and federal water quality program such as: TPDES, SPCC and SWPP + Experience in water regulatory programs + Willingness to travel 25\-50% of the time + Must have standard computer skills, including the use of spreadsheets and word processing software + Excellent written and verbal communication skills **Preferred Qualifications** + OSHA 40\-hour training + Working knowledge of Texas and federal environmental regulations + Works well with a team + Proficient communication and technical report writing skills **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
