More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Environment** Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\. **Job Summary** AECOM is seeking a **Noise and Air Quality Specialist** to support the environmental practice throughout Texas and the Gulf Coast region\. The individual will be tasked with managing noise and air quality analyses for the highway, transit, aviation and private sectors\. The candidate must have prior highway, transit, or private sector noise and air quality experience and regulatory agency/industry contacts\. A candidate with credentials in conducting vibration analyses is also preferred, but not required\. The ideal candidate must have a solid technical and quantitative background in performing noise and air quality work\. The candidate will play a key role in developing solutions to policy and physical planning/engineering problems\. The candidate must have the ability to manage small or medium\-sized projects, or have full technical control of project\. The candidate must be able to contribute to the financial responsibility for the success of a project, and may play a key role in business development efforts\. As an environmental specialist with AECOM, you will have an opportunity to work independently but also learn from senior staff\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Use your quantitative skills to analyze data to determine noise, vibration and air quality impacts + Participate in data collection measurement trips + Actively communicate with project team members as well as clients to contribute towards delivering high quality technical memorandums and reports + Analyzing exiting environmental data sources to create the required inputs for modeling of and assessing environmental effects + Provide general assistance to senior environmental specialist’s throughout Texas and the Gulf Coast region, including execution and reporting on the progress of individual aspects of a project to ensure timeliness of completion AECOM’s Texas\-based Environmental Services Team analyzes, evaluates, and identifies solutions for environmental issues for our clients\. Ideal candidate would be based in either Dallas, Austin or Houston\. **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s Degree or higher in civil engineering, environmental planning, acoustics, or related technical field + 4\+ years of experience + TxDOT precertification or the ability to obtain precertification within six months of employment + Experience in transportation\-related noise air quality project work, with demonstrated technical ability + Demonstrated knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act + Demonstrated knowledge of Traffic Noise Model version 2\.5 or higher + Effective time management skills, as well as solid decision\-making, planning and organizational skills + Excellent verbal, written and inter\-personal communication skills + Ability to present results to internal and external stakeholders + Strong aptitude for the MS Office suite + Ability to travel for work, with limited overnight stays + Must have a valid driver's license **Preferred Qualifications** + Air Quality Conformity analyses experience + Vibration analysis experience **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
