Requisition Number: IE103463 Interest Category: Engineering Interest Sub Category: Engineering - Civil Job Title : Industrial Water/Wastewater Principal Process Engineer Employment Category/Status: full-time Type of Position: Regular Hire Country: U.S. State: Pennsylvania City: Fort Washington Minimum Requirements: • B.S. in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or closely related technical discipline • Minimum 10 years of experience in conceptual design of biological, chemical and physical wastewater treatment technologies, and general industrial water systems technology as applied to operations of: chemical, pharmaceutical, power, petrochemical, food and beverage, and pulp and paper • Proven competency in delivering consulting and conceptual design projects involving industrial water and wastewater treatment • Knowledge of industrial wastewater regulations and compliance strategies • Project Management Certification, or ability to obtain URS project management certification within 6 months • P.E. license or the ability to obtain within one year • Sound understanding of business principles of consulting projects • Sound knowledge of industrial water/wastewater marketplace with a focus on wastewater treatment in the chemical, pharmaceutical, power, petrochemical, food and beverage, and pulp and paper • Strong leadership, interpersonal and teaching skills (proven record of mentorship), flexible and adaptable work style • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test Job Description: AECOM provides creative engineering solutions that encourages professional and personal support for its team members. The selected candidate will be responsible for engineering support and project management on industrial water and wastewater projects. This position will have an opportunity to collaborate with a team of highly experienced senior engineers and AECOM project managers. Candidate will support the water/wastewater engineering group on multiple projects within the US and abroad. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • In collaboration with AECOM personnel, develop material balances, process design basis documents, hydraulic and wastewater process simulation models and calculations, process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment arrangement drawings and other design deliverables • Size and specify water/wastewater process and mechanical equipment • Lead teams involved with consulting and conceptual engineering for our clients through all phases of project execution from conceptual engineering through construction closeout and operations • Plan, coordinate and execute wastewater characterization studies and bench treatability testing • Develop proposals, engineering estimates and work plans • Serve as primary interface between client's project team and AECOM, conveying technical, schedule, and financial information in a timely and professional manner • Plan, directs, supervises and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned, project, or sub-task. • Assist in developing budgets, schedule and plan for the various elements of projects • Execute project performance and budget monitoring & reporting • Mobilize company resources through effective liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing quality work • Perform on-going client development activities • Have a seller-doer mentality, and provide business growth through delivery and strong client relationships AECOM is a premier, fully integrated professional and technical services firm positioned to design, build, finance and operate infrastructure assets around the world for public- and private-sector clients.
