Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements:
1. High School graduate or demonstrated equivalent.
2. Three years of experience in the maintenance, repair and operation of mechanical building systems and plumbing, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
3. State of Massachusetts Grade II Industrial Waste Water license.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Hands-on experience in a large research and development facility.
2. Experience with systems including plumbing, steam and hot water boilers, air handling units, pumps, compressors, air dryers, and exhaust systems.
3. Experience working in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) environment.
4. Journey level plumber license.
5. Four-year trade school diploma in a related skilled trade.
6. Experience working with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
7. Experience working with and understanding Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
• Must have the visual ability to determine on screen color changes to SCADA monitored equipment.
• Must be able to work at heights greater than 50 feet.
• Must be able to communicate with others via radio, telephone and computer/text.
• Have the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Have the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
• This position requires the ability to either sit for long periods of time or walk extensively both indoors and out in any weather during the course of a 12 hour shift.
• Have the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.
• Have the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.
• Have the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.
• Have the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.
• Have the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant for shift.
• Must have the manual dexterity to use a variety of tools and test equipment associated with the trade.

Job Description: URS, an AECOM company, is seeking a Mechanical / Plumbing Maintenance Technician III in Cambridge, MA contingent on the award of new business.
This position is responsible for providing an advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive maintenance on general facilities and utilities systems and equipment including but not limited to: plumbing and mechanical equipment, motors, pumps, piping, drains, and other equipment as directed. Ensures all appropriate mechanical operations, standards, controls, and specifications are maintained at a high level of quality.
Applicable licensing may be required.
Essential Functions:
• Assists in performing and responding to work orders associated with building equipment
• Inspects major equipment and/or operating systems and takes corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensures all appropriate mechanical operations, standards, controls, and specifications, are maintained at a high level of quality. Systems/Equipment to include: pumps, fans, cranes, heat exchangers, valves, etc
• Repairs flooring (tile, carpet, etc.), artificial ceilings, lighting, and some plumbing.
• Works within the context of a team and at times with minimal supervision
• Ensures excellent customer service and safe work environment
• Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
