Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years of demonstrated knowledge, expertise, and relevant experience providing warehouse support services to MSC, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Coast Guard, or MSC ship operating companies.
o Afloat supply financial and inventory management.
o Material identification and sourcing material from commercial and federal sources.
o Material order submission, tracking, and expediting using DoD and Navy MILSTRIP or DLMS requisition transactions.
o Material shipping, monitoring, tracing, and tracking using both commercial sources and the Defense Transportation System (DTS) for CONUS and OCONUS delivery.
o Conducting shipboard inventories, developing storeroom mock-ups, layout, and supporting material on-loads and off-loads.
o Conducting ashore inventories. Performing causative research for inventory gains or losses.
o Auditing, updating, analyzing, and determining shoreside inventory management posture.
Duties (Representative)
In warehouse environments (e.g. afloat and ashore), position supports:
(1) shipboard/shore-based inventory analysis;
(2) perform causative research for inventory audits and general assessments;
(3) identification of alternate sources of supply;
(4) repairable item carcass tracking;
Specialized Experience (Desired)
• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise using MSC/Navy warehouse inventory systems such as CMLS.
• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise using commercial In-transit visibility tools for inventory tracking purposes.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical warehouse environment with no unusual hazards, frequent lifting to 20-60 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Job Description: Purpose and Scope:
Perform limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities.
Essential Responsibilities:
1) As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties, which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
2) Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
3) Routing materials to prescribed storage locations.
4) Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
5) Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.
6) Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
7) May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
8) Perform miscellaneous quality assurance duties including inspections, inventory process checks, inspecting and examining materials, article inspections, etc.
9) Responsible for inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies, and equipment.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
