**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary** The Water/Wastewater Division of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented **Water Resource Engineer** for immediate employment in the Metairie/ New Orleans, LA office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Water Resources, specific to Wastewater collection; Flood protection levee civil design; Sea wall scour protection design; general civil design for major hydraulic structures\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Performs work, which may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting designrequirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements
+ As necessary, modifies established guidelines, devises new approaches, applies existing criteria in new ways and draws conclusions from comparative situations
+ Requires sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained worker
+ Independently performs most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected
+ May be the first level of direct and sustained supervision of other engineers or technicians
+ Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects
+ Works independently with general guidance except for complex and unusual situations
**Minimum Requirements**
+ 10\+ years of experience since B\.S\.
+ Licensed Professional Civil Engineer in Louisiana
+ Technical Experience in general civil engineering projects in flood protection, wastewater and water resources
+ Construction Management Experience
+ Experience in coordinating various technical aspects of work
+ Experience in Tracking Project Financials and achieving Production Milestones
