Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements:
o Bachelor degree from a four year accredited college with a minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience including:
-Implementation of CGD processes for the procurement of nuclear safety (SC/SS) items/services in accordance with ASME NQA-1
-Facilitation of the procurement of SC/SS items/services to originate, review and approve CGD documentations including RIE/CGD, MSR, and RICP
-Development of, review and/or approve procurement level 1 or 2 requisitions as the Procurement Specification Authority (PSA)
-Performance of Technical Evaluations and identification of critical characteristics
-Development and review of CGD plans including identification of acceptance methods and criteria
-Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Requirements:
o DOE CGD experience
o Mechanical or I&C engineering experience
o Nuclear Safety Experience

Position Description
This position will require a person with practical experience in performing commercial grade dedication (CGD) per ASME NQA-1 including technical evaluations, defining critical characteristics, and performance of procurement engineering for the supply of safety related components to the DOE complex. It is preferred that candidates have direct DOE experience in performing these functions. Experience in nuclear safety and design engineering for nuclear facilities is also advantageous.
Tasks performed by the selected candidates will include all aspects of the supply of safety related components to a nuclear facility within the DOE complex including:
• Clear identification of the safety function
• Clear identification of design requirements
• Development of the Technical Evaluation (TE) including identification of the Critical Characteristics (CCs) (may include performance of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)).
• Development of the CGD Plan including identification of Acceptance Criteria, Acceptance Methods, Sampling Plans, etc.
• Procurement Engineering
• Oversight of vendors preforming CGD activities
The types of components to be procured includes the full range of components utilized in safety related applications in the nuclear industry from commodities such as plate steel and bar stock to complex equipment such as diesel generators and compressors. Therefore, candidates with the full range of engineering disciplines will be considered.
