The minimum requirements for this position are as follows:
Education/Training: High School graduate or equivalent; must have completed military or vocational technical school curriculum and AA degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred. Employment category will be based on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
Upon hiring, the company may provide an 8-week training class on UAS Predator maintenance conducted at Indian Springs/Creech AFB, NV; Gray Butte, CA or similar location as assigned. Students must achieve a passing grade in all courses for continued employment. Additional “on the job” training may be required following end of course. Upon successful completion of all required training, the employee will report to Des Moines, IA.
Work Experience Field: Must have working knowledge of basic electronics; minimum of five to eight years of professional experience required; with experience in aircraft avionics maintenance and repair preferred. Prior experience with UAVs preferred. Possess skills and knowledge in the operation of networks, both hardware and software to include network topology, standards, and protocols desired. Possess an understanding of TELNET and FTP processes as well as the Microsoft Office Professional suite of software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Knowledge and ability to administer UNIX and LINUX on both servers and workstations preferred.
Special Skills: Must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship upon hire. Active DOD Top Secret Security Clearance highly desired. Must submit updated SF-86 within 30 days of hire start date. Must be able to gain/maintain the required security clearance level and special access authorization as a condition of continued employment. Must pass a company-administered Electronics Qualification Exam prior to hire. FCC radio telephone license preferred. Security + highly desired.

Job Description: Supports Predator UAV maintenance. Geographic location of assignment is at Des Moines, IA.
Inspects, performs organizational, intermediate, and/or depot level electronic maintenance and modifications on Predator and Reaper UAS family and support equipment as required. Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents. Uses common test instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, oscilloscopes and similar equipment.
Maintains, repairs, and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, micro and mainframe computers, and industrial measuring, controlling and calibration devices. Application of technical knowledge of electronic principles in determining malfunctions and skill application in restoring equipment systems and operations preferred. Performs basic configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, analysis and repair of databases, switches, networks, video systems, and long-haul communications highly desired. Installation, upgrading, and administering operating systems and application software in multi-user client/server environments, including UNIX and LINUX highly desired.
