We pride ourselves on ensuring we deliver the best customer service possible to our people while building trust and relationships with all of our constituents\. **Job Summary** LA Metro Finance Team is actively seeking an experienced Project Accountant/Cost Analyst for an immediate opportunity in our downtown Los Angeles office\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below: Provide local financial oversight and support on a high volume portfolio with multiple project managers crossing various business lines Assist Project Manager regularly with project setup, project monitoring, system updating and closeout Work proactively with project managers to monitor and correct project financial issues as they occur Understand month end events to ensure they are prepared completely and processed accurately and timely Understand the commercial and billing requirements of the projects; ensure project set up accurately reflects proper billing requirements **Minimum Requirements** Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field 2\+ years' experience as a Project Accountant administering multiple projects of varying sizes Strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data and techniques High proficiency in Excel Team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy; willingness to work with multiple different colleagues on a variety of initiatives Ability to work in a high\-paced environment with a sense of urgency Outstanding oral communication and writing skills Strong organizational skills – ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Consultative, service\-oriented mindset and collaborative problem\-solving skills Proactive, goal\-oriented and a self\-starter, with the ability to work independently and manage change effectively **Preferred Qualifications** Experience using Oracle is a plus Experience with transportation or construction projects is desirable Experience with prevailing wage requirements and SOX a plus **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
