**Job Summary** We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bid Manager to join our well\-established and experienced Buildings and Places \(B&P\) Major Bids team in our centrally located London Holborn office\.
As part of the B&P Major Bids team, you will work closely with the members of the B\+P EMEA growth team to convert major strategic pursuits into wins\. You will be responsible for the end\-to\-end bid process, planning and managing activities across a range of disciplines and identifying and delivering win strategies\. In addition to managing strategic pursuits, you will work proactively with the B&P team to identify areas for development and support and actively engage in initiatives within the sector to improve the win rate\.
As Bid Manager you will have the following responsibilities:
• Plan, co\-ordinate and programme manage the entire bid process for all major strategic pursuits using best practice bidding techniques\.
• Work with the B\+P EMEA and I marketing managers to develop and implement best practice prepositioning campaigns as appropriate\.
• Design and implement win strategies that are highly responsive to the decision maker’s issues/hot buttons and vision\.
• Facilitate the development and completion of proposals through the gathering of technical, commercial, financial information from a wide range of sources, from all corners of the business, in a structured manner\.
• Actively contribute to the corporate knowledge base of bid collateral\.
• Coaching and mentoring on proposal best practices and persuasive writing approaches, as well as running rehearsals for all strategic pursuit presentations\.
• Collate, manage and disseminate critical information which could support other bid drives and champion best practice bidding\.
• Develop and implement capture plans on all strategic pursuits\.
• Develop and track win strategies as well as deconstruct PQQs and ITTs\.
• Review, edit and write content\.
• Develop messaging and materials for presentations\.
• Conduct bid debriefs \(internal & external\)\.
• Develop and implement training for the sector to champion best practice\.
• Proactively look for ways to continuously improve bidding within the firm and increase win rate\.
• Raising the awareness of best practice bidding, based on Shipley methodology, throughout the sector\.
• Working with the graphics team to ensure high end production/ providing design services \(InDesign\) as part of the bid production\.
• Facilitating workshops and colour reviews\.
**Minimum Requirements** The key factors needed for this role will be your ability to establish relationships with your stakeholders quickly, influence your peers in best practice bidding techniques and operate in a collaborative and diplomatic manner\. The following will also be required:
• Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant subject\.
• Proven track\-record of bid management/major tender management, ideally gained within an Architecture or Engineering consultancy\.
• APMP Foundation or Practitioner certification \(desirable\)\.
• Knowledge and experience of InDesign with the ability to create excellent brand led proposals\.
• Ability to influence others at all levels of business and able to work independently and as part of team\.
• Maintain professional relationships, whilst working to rigid deadlines\.
• Can take immediate ownership of the tender process\.
• Enjoys building and developing strong relationships to successfully develop their role\.
• A natural communicator with excellent written and oral presentation skills\.
• Excellent time management skills and able to prioritise a busy schedule and workload\.
• Deep understanding of Shipley\.
**Preferred Qualifications** • Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant subject\.
• APMP Foundation or Practitioner certification \(desirable\)\.
