Our design process is based on energy\-efficient building systems, and appropriate selection of materials and form to maximize environmental conditions and long\-term performance\. **Job Summary** The Architectural practice within AECOM Buildings and Places business line is actively seeking a Project Manager/Interior Designer for immediate employment in the Arlington, VA office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Interior Design Project Management, specific to facilities\-related projects worldwide\. Clearance Level required: TS/ISSA \(TS/SCI/FSP\) + Key roles and responsibilities as follows: + Coordinate and oversee completion of activities in all phases of the project cycle for facilities\-related projects + Manage the project design and/or construction effort and evaluate contractor performance + Provide official weekly project status reports + Assemble a high performance, integrated team of all stakeholders; manage communications, and establish expectations throughout the project + Assist the Contracting Officer and COTR with acquisition planning, execution and administration + Collect requirements, prepare SOW, conduct market research, and develop sole source justification if appropriate + Conduct technical reviews and evaluate project solicitations, proposals, quotes, and proposed change requests + Prepare and track project schedules and budgets throughout entire project + Review and approve shop drawings and submittals + Conduct pre\-bid and pre\-construction site visits + Prepare Contractor Performance Report \(CPR\) upon contract closeout **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in architecture or interior design and subject matter expertise at the full performance level in design and space planning of commercial and governmental interior construction projects + 10\-15 years of work experience at full performance level + Working knowledge of systems furniture and specifications, demonstrated experience and emphasis on spaceplanning, experience with Building codes and ADA requirements, Informational technology, mechanical, electrical, communications systems, AutoCAD and Microsoft office Suite and Project software packages + Demonstrated performance in a variety of interior renovation projects + Demonstrated experience in gathering and defining design requirements with requesting customers and preparing alternative solutions ranging from conceptual design to final design within established parameters + Demonstrated experience creating design and construction documents, and generating presentation graphics, preparing cost and schedule estimates, collecting, preparing, and reporting programmatic information + Demonstrated experience coordinating design activities with architecture, engineering, safety, security, construction, and other related functional areas + Demonstrated experience managing and monitoring architecture and engineering \(A&E\) firms and construction phases and handling contract close out, interacting with personnel \(Government and Contractor\) at all level in hierarchy + Demonstrated experience communication \(written and oral\) well with all levels of audiences using clear and concise language + Ability to work within US Government organization and follow established processes and procedures + Travel domestically or overseas for the Government, as required **Preferred Qualifications** + Highly motivated to continue to maintain professional licenses, certifications, and expertise through formal training and on the job experience + Licenses, and/or certifications preferred: National Council of Architectural Review Boards \(NCARB\), \(National Council for Interior Design Qualification \(NCIDQ\) + Experience working in a classified environment + Experience handling multiple, demanding, and complex projects in a timely manner with accurate results + Ability to work independently and in team situations + Ability to adapt to a constantly changing, fast paced environment **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
