**Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented **Communications Manager** for immediate employment for the Los Angeles, CA office\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
+ Manages community relations programs which may include having strong networks with non\-profit organizations in Los Angeles and Orange County
+ Meets and networks in the community and organizes in setting up similar programs
+ Ensures corporate, geography and/or business line objectives are communicated accurately and effectively
+ Advises management on development of community programs, and the management of public relations issues \(counsels internal clients on editorial matters\)
+ Manages community initiatives and/or projects from inception to completion to include review and approval of all materials within and outside of the department, and ensures all communication meets AECOM branding and quality standards
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Business or related field
+ 10\+ years' relevant experience
+ Experience managing media strategies, consultants and implementation of a media strategies
+ Demonstrated success in developing media strategies that use traditional and non\-traditional media, including social media
+ Experience managing community relations programs which may include non\-profit organizations
+ Strong organizational and communication skills including writing
+ Proven record of developing new clients
+ Ability to discern new markets and develop business in those areas
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience working with community relations programs in the Los Angeles area
