**About the Business Line** **Building Engineering**
We deliver creative solutions for building projects for industry, government, commercial and leisure sectors\. Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design\. We embed sustainability principles in every design\.
**Job Summary**
+ Design building power, lighting, telecommunications and security systems\.
+ Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications\.
+ Performs responsible and varied engineering assignments requiring general familiarity with a broad field of engineering and knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other disciplines\.
+ Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works\.
+ Solves problems by use of combinations of standard procedures, modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments\.
+ Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position\.
+ Receives general instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions\.
+ Assistance is provided on unusual problems and work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment\.
+ Broad exposure to different types of projects including some experience across different business lines\.
+ Respond to client questions and comments, review contractor submittals, and provide clarifications during construction\.
+ Prepare required production control documents\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required\.
+ Generally, has 5\+ years of experience\.
+ Licensed or registered professional engineer \(PE\) required\.
+ Understanding of Electrical power systems for commercial, Government and institutional facilities including office tenant space, utilities and support facilities\. This includes an understanding of electrical system load and short circuit analysis\.
+ Understanding of Lighting and lighting control systems for commercial, Government and institutional facilities\. This includes familiarity with lighting calculations, occupancy control, and application of state of the art materials to projects\.
+ Familiarity with the National Electric Code
+ Displayed ability to execute complete, accurate and coordinated project design assignments on time and within budget\. Understands overall project constraints including design budget limitations and schedule requirements\.
+ Interact and communicate effectively with other team members and disciplines\. Effective written and verbal communication skills a must\.
+ Experience with REVIT, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation\.
+ Limited travel as required to meet training and project requirements\.
+ US Citizenship required
**Preferred Qualifications**
Working knowledge of Electrical system analysis tools \(E\-TAP or SKM\)
LEED Accreditation
