Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a focus in Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical or similar
• Minimum fifteen years of experience working with pipeline design and construction projects in the natural gas midstream/pipeline, chemical process, power, or other industry
• Experience in detailed designs of pipeline, natural gas well pad layout and well processing equipment, meter station design, compressor stations, pump stations and bid document preparations
• Must have experience with environmental permits needed for obtaining environmental permits for oil and gas companies
• Must have knowledge of codes and standards for liquid and/or gas pipelines including CFR 49, Part 192 & 195, ASME 31.3 & 31.8, NEC
• Ability to interface effectively with clients
• Proactive in recognizing and appropriately addressing health and safety issues for entire team
• Ability to independently plan, estimate and execute the scope of work for pipeline engineering projects
• A valid driver's license is required

Job Description: AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Principal Pipeline Engineer for immediate employment for the Pittsburgh, PA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
• Create and Manage cost estimates and pipeline project schedules
• Mentor Junior and Staff level engineering and design professionals
• Significant client and sub-contractor interface during project life cycles
• Create equipment specification and selection
• Pipeline route selection including: Route Analysis, Crossing selection and design, Alignment sheets creation, HDD Calculations and Design, class location documentation, hydraulic analysis and modeling
• Pipe Specification development including: appropriate ANSI standards, pipe sizing, weld spec, hydraulic analysis, and coating specification
• Valves and equipment specification, tank and vessel specification and design, Pig Launcher/Receiver design and specification, pump, compressors and skid mounted systems specification, vendor qualification
• Create PFD - P&ID's for various facilities or processes
• Coordinate and manage design documentation and procurement processes
• Review and manage construction requirements for pipelines, skid placement, and required building structures.
• Meet with natural gas clients to develop new business and maintain existing business relationships
• Prepare proposals to obtain new project work from new and existing clients
• Be proactive in recognizing and appropriately addressing health and safety issues for entire team
