Requisition Number: FS103656 Interest Category: Operations & Maintenance Interest Sub Category: Operations & Maintenance Job Title : Plant Operator Employment Category/Status: full-time Type of Position: Contingent Country: U.S. State: Kentucky City: Richmond Minimum Requirements: Basic Qualifications: • High school diploma/equivalent and 1 year plant operator experience in power or chemical plants, hazardous waste incinerators, waste water treatment facilities, petrochemical plants, boilers, or utility systems (compressed air, electrical distribution, hydraulics, HVAC, bulk chemical storage and distribution, etc.) or related industry Minimum Qualifications: • Must be a US or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain BGAPP site access • Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment • Demonstrated experience working in a procedurally compliant environment • Demonstrated experience working in an environmental and safety compliant environment Desired Qualifications: • Ability to read and interpret prints, drawings, diagrams, and operating instrumentation manuals • Experience working in a toxic/hazardous materials environment • Technical or trade school in related field • Wastewater Facility Operator certification • Experience in Environmental compliance • Experience operating forklift/forktruck Job Description: This position is scheduled to be filled in March 2015 Typical Responsibilities Include: • Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees. • Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations. • May be required to work overtime or varying hours. • Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record. • Work in close proximity to and or in a chemical demilitarization facility. • Apply proper treatments to wastewater at specific stages of treatments. • Monitor control panels, meters, and process equipment making adjustments as required. • Establish and maintain preventative maintenance program on all equipment and plant facilities according to requirements. • Complete logs, reports and documentation. • Assist with related plant duties. • Promote positive relations with the public. • Must comply with Conduct of Operations (CONOPS).
