More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Environment** Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\. **Job Summary** The Gulf Coast Area Environmental group within the DCS Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Administrator for immediate employment in the Austin, TX office\. This position provides project management support for the projects assigned, ensuring that projects are aligned with the project management goals and objectives that directly influence our performance as a company\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below: + Perform specialized accounting or planning activities following general or project departmental guidelines, procedures and precedents in support of various financial functions\. + Sets up, develops and manipulates spreadsheets and assists Project Manager with budget tracking + Provide financial status information to the project and Team/Task Leaders + Run reports and analyze data to ensure that costs are assigned to the appropriate account + Prepares work authorization forms for new contracts, modifications, and job closures + Assists in set up of subcontracts; reviews and tracks subcontract invoices + Review invoices for consistency with contract requirements and rates + Work with Accounting \(procurement, accounts payable and invoicing personnel\) to assist in project maintenance keeping the projects in good financial health + Provide monthly feedback to finance management team regarding aging Accounts Receivable and unbilled balances + Investigate variances and follows up on A/R and unbilled issues to ensure timely resolution + Track actual cost relative to budgets as the project develops + Prepare and/or review invoices for completeness and accuracy + Track & maintain current costs, commitments and completion forecasts + Maintain project accounting files + Evaluate, select and apply standard management/administrative techniques, procedures and criteria to assist Project Manager + Enforce policies and programs consistent with company philosophy and objectives + Facilitate final closeout of projects + Assist other Project Admin/Project Controls staff **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or related field + 2\+ years' relevant experience + Strong problem solving, organizational, people, math and accounting skills + Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills + Exhibit excellent oral and written communications skills + Possess the ability to investigate and assess project related issues + Ability to pay attention to detail + Exhibit systematic and orderly planning and organizing skills + Ability to work cohesively with project team members + Ability to multi\-task and must have a good understanding of financial principles **Preferred Qualifications** + 5\+ years' relevant experience **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
