Minimum Requirements: Minimum one year general experience. Minimum one year specific experience using wood shop tools, fabricating containers, or framing construction. Ability to read blueprints, measure fabrication materials, identifies various materials for construction of wood containers; use saws, planers, sanders, drills, etc. Must have demonstrated skill to assemble/fabricate wooden containers, mount out boxes, stands, chests, skids and platforms. Must have graduated from high school or have passed GED. May substitute experience for education at the rate of one year of specific experience for one year of high school. Must be able to obtain license to use MHE within 30 days of selection. Must have a valid driver's license.
You must be able to obtain a NACI, National Agency Check.
Job Description: This position is responsible for the manufacturing and repair of wood and cardboard containers, skids, and platforms used in packing, storing and shipping of property. This is done while following detailed information found on SPIs and blueprints. Performs other duties as assigned including receiving, picking and stowing. Use plans, blueprints, drawings to select, measure, cut, form, and fabricate wooden containers and platforms. Repair containers as required during receipt and COSIS processes. Provide packing, set assembly and shipping support duties as required. Operate MHE as required to move material.Packs and re-packs wide variety of material using required techniques. Verifies condition code, and determines method of pack per regulations requirements. Blocks and braces material based on customer and regulatory requirements. The current opening is to fill the need on first shift.
