-15+ years of related working experience as Project Manager
-Expertise in all aspects of project and construction management.
-Relevant experience in China, preferably with overseas work history
-Candidates must have worked on foreign invested projects
- Fluent English/Mandarin Language skills are must
- Good organizational, leadership, communications, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Familiar with local and international code, standard regulation and its implementation
Job Description: PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Initiates Projects - Establishes project teams. For assigned projects, completes project initiation documents that include detailed work scope/outline, budget, and schedule for completion.
• Manages Project Implementation - With assigned project team, ensures that all steps and procedures are taken according to SOPs and that all work is completed as planned and scheduled. This includes keeping the client informed of the ongoing status of a project and providing adequate management, advice, and support to the members of the project team.
• Coordinates/Communicates with Peers - Works with other project managers to avoid or eliminate conflicts in schedule due to the changes in various projects.
• Provides Technical Advice - Contributes to the development of recommendations for assigned projects and others, when requested.
• Maintains Project Status - Keeps the project status reporting systems current with the actions and changes that take place on assigned projects so the overall organization is able to respond to client requests.
• Prepares High-Quality Reports - Ensures that the review process and other quality-control guidelines are followed and that final reports and presentations are completed per SOPs.
BUSINESS/FISCAL MANAGEMENT
• Communicates Opportunities - Communicates/presents potential new business or resource information, competitive situations, or technology/regulatory factors to the company.
• Controls Costs - As part of the management of each project, ensures that costs are kept in line with the original budget for time, travel, and material expenses. Discuss variations with client and supervisor and issues project change order to reflect agreed-upon changes.
• Maximizes Project Profitability - Through appropriate project budgeting/pricing, utilization of resources and cost controls, maximizes the profit margin on individual projects.
ADMINISTRATIVE
• Manages and Develops Project Staff - Understands the strengths and areas needing improvement for assigned project staff. Manages, supports, and evaluates each individual towards achieving their maximum potential.
RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
• Solicits New Clients/Projects - In interfacing with potential or existing clients, listens for and seeks out new projects that may exist or are being formulated. Sets up meetings and/or
participates in the development of proposals as requested.
• Maintains Contact with Clients - Meets regularly with key clients to discuss current projects, evaluate firm performance, and identify other business opportunities either with current clients or through referrals.
• Other projects assigned by project directors.
