Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design\. We embed sustainability principles in every design\. **Job Summary** **The Opportunity** Our Building Engineering Group continues to grow in support of the Christchurch Rebuild and we now require an experienced BIM Modeller with a strong background in commercial building structures\. You will be supporting the Structural Engineering team with the drawing and documentation of building structures for projects across Christchurch\. With an eye for detail, you will follow best practice for design draughting and drawing documentation using Revit\. Supported by the Christchurch Structural CAD Lead and the CAD Systems Manager – NZ the role will entail: + Structural detailing, including Steelwork connections and concrete reinforcement details\. + Document Control\. + Preparation and Issuing of drawings\. + Assisting in preparation of Transmittals, Schedules and Reports\. + Assisting with resource / time scheduling with counterparts from different offices to ensure that design deadlines are met\. **Minimum Requirements** **About You** We are seeking an experienced, senior level Technician with a strong background in structural design including: + At least 2\-5 or more years’ experience of building structures\. + Solid Revit experience, ideally coupled with Navisworks experience + Knowledge / understanding of steel members and reinforcement\. + Good Microsoft Excel skills\. + Ability to be able to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines\. + Excellent communications skills\. + Proactive approach to work load planning with the ability to meet deadlines\. **Preferred Qualifications** + TEKLA Structures experience would be advantageous\. **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
