**About the Business Line** **Environment**
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary** The Environment Business Unit of AECOM is actively seeking a motivated, creative, experienced Environmental Engineer for immediate employment in the Buffalo, New York office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to use their skills on a variety of projects for both private and public clients\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Preparation of site investigation plans to assess environmental conditions; evaluation of environmental data and comparison to appropriate regulations; preparation of Feasibility Studies, and identification of preliminary remediation alternatives
+ Construction phase responsibilities will include directing environmental investigation subcontractors, resident engineering, responding to RFIs, submittal review, engineer's estimates and change order negotiation
+ Work with project managers and senior engineering staff to prepare Design Analysis Reports \(including supporting calculations and assumptions\) and Remediation
+ Plans/Specifications suitable for regulatory review and contractor procurement\. Interacts regularly with clients and regulators to achieve project goals
+ Involved in business development and proposal development
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's of Science degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, or similar field
+ Minimum 5\+ years of relevant experience
+ Sufficient experience to: evaluate environmental data; prepare site investigation plans; direct subcontractors; prepare design analysis reports; develop remediation design criteria; prepare contract documents \(plans and specifications\); prepare cost estimates; interface with clients; and be knowledgeable in environmental regulations
+ Excellent technical writing skills and be able to develop design calculations
+ Out\-of\-town assignments required as needed
+ Ability to perform bending, kneeling, standing, confined\-space entry, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 30 lbs\.
+ Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and have a tolerance for working in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions
+ Enrollment in the medical monitoring program requiring initial and annual physicals, and initial and random drug screens
+ Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel and drive regularly, often long distances
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Evaluate environmental data and compare to appropriate regulations
+ Ability to evaluate remediation alternatives and prepare Feasibility Studies
