More information on AECOM and its services can be found at www\.aecom\.com\. **About the Business Line** **Environment** Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\. **Job Summary** AECOM is a leading provider of engineering, construction and technical services for public agencies and private sector companies around the world\. AECOM is actively seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated Senior Air Quality Scientist that can grow the Northern California air group and lead air quality and GHG assessments for complex projects\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below: + Manage and perform air quality modeling assessments + Obtain air permits for industrial sources + Conduct air emission inventory calculations and use air quality dispersion models to analyze air quality and health impacts for any source\(s\) of pollutant emissions \(i\.e\., industrial, utility, commercial, institutional, mobile, construction\) + Direct, manage, and work in a team environment to prepare permit applications and provide compliance support + Manage entire air quality projects including proposal preparation, technical analysis, report preparation and client liaison + Supervise junior staff + Meet with existing and potential clients to discuss and evaluate opportunities + Stay current on air quality and GHG regulations + Keep abreast of new and proposed regulatory initiatives related to monitoring requirements **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s Degree in relevant scientific or engineering discipline + Minimum 15 years of air quality consulting and management of air quality projects in California + Expert in strategic CEQA and NEPA air quality and GHG assessments + Significant experience with client interactions and business development + Strong understanding of various air district CEQA and permitting guidelines + Expert in performing health risk assessments + Experience running current generation air quality models such as AERMOD, HARP, and CalEEMod + Knowledge in obtaining air permits from Northern California air districts + Experience in Title V permit submittal, renewal, and compliance + Knowledge of technical aspects of air quality analyses \(dispersion modeling, emissions control, compliance and regulatory review\) + Experience in the CEC AFC process + Conversant with regulatory requirements related to power, industrial and oil & gas facilities + Expert in quantitative analyses using software \(e\.g\., Excel, Access\) + Expert in Microsoft Excel + Proficient in other Microsoft Office programs \(Word, PowerPoint\) + Experience running current generation air quality models such as AERMOD, HARP, and CalEEMod **Preferred Qualifications** + Source testing experience + Ambient air quality monitoring + Dust control plan experience + Noise experience for CEQA and NEPA + Ability to balance the level of analysis recommended with an appropriate budget + Project management experience on large complex air quality projects + Experience leading teams of technical staff + Successful marketing and sales experience + Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and technical writing skills **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
