Job Description: This position is responsible for managing and administering IT systems for the Queensland operations and for providing end-user support.
IT Administration
Provides support of PC hardware, software, and peripherals.
Performs all planning, installation, maintenance, administrative and security, account creation, group creation and data access rights functions for Local Area Networks (LAN).
Coordinates and performs network and server administration tasks.
Provides support for network and / or systems-related problems.
Coordinates and performs network and / or systems maintenance and upgrades.
Makes recommendations for and ensures compliance with policies for back-up of data and systems for disaster recovery, as well as for network and / or systems-related administrative procedures.
Participates in the evaluation of network and / or systems-related software products and upgrades.
Participates in the analysis and resolution of network and / or systems -related business needs.
Implements appropriate security and controls to ensure compliance with audit and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Performs preventive maintenance, tests, and repairs of complex equipment using manuals, schematics, and directions from a technical specialist or supervisor.
Troubleshoots problems, works with product vendor and other IT personnel as appropriate to resolve.
Prepares and submits reports, such as equipment failure reports, repair records, and data sheets relative to each service call.
Resolves systems problems, including coordination between users and components of the LAN and WAN resources.
Works with other IT personnel throughout IE to upgrade and resolve software and systems used to access Enterprise resources such as messaging systems, accounting systems, and Human Resources systems.
Plans and conducts training support for end users and other computer support staff.
Participates in evaluation of system configuration and software to ensure effective use of hardware resources. Evaluates tests and installs all new network systems and hardware in accordance with industry standards and company policies and procedures.
Develop a technology plan for the local office
Provide support to Sydney datacentre

Responsive technical support to system end users. Support will include coordination of corporate and vendor resources to accomplish tasks.
Timely integration of new information technology solutions for Queensland business activities as assigned; that is, projects are completed on schedule and budget.
Organized administration of information technology management function to optimize system availability, performance and integrity (i.e. system backups, maintenance, documentation and error correction).
Ensure Queensland users have a high degree of satisfaction with information technology planning, management, services and support.
Maintain contact with APAC Director.
