**Job Summary** AECOM’s Design and Consulting Services\-Americas legal department is actively seeking a creative, highly talented attorney for immediate employment in one of the following offices: Atlanta, Georgia; San Francisco, CA; Austin, TX; Overland Park, KS; or Chicago, IL\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in construction law and legal issues related to contracts for engineering, construction, and other technical services\.
Incumbent Responsibilities:
• Emphasis is on risk management and adherence to company policies
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts and other legal documents relating to engineering, construction, environmental, and other services provided by the company to clients in the public and private sectors, including documents related to teaming arrangements, joint ventures, confidentiality agreements, licenses, purchase and sales agreements, insurance, and other matters
• Act in an advisory capacity making recommendations that may have an important bearing on the conduct of the organization's business
• Work with management and staff to resolve pre\-litigation disputes
• Supervise and manage litigation utilizing outside counsel retained by the company to maximize quality and cost\-effectiveness
• Review and conduct research into cases and legal precedents to the extent required to address contract\-specific matters
• Prepare and review legal memoranda and briefs relating to organizational activities
• Train staff in all aspects of compliance with federal statutes and regulations
• Provide support to multiple offices

Please note any experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating design\-build agreements public private partnership and other forms of alternative project delivery agreements\.
**Minimum Requirements** • J\.D\. Degree from accredited law school
• Admission to bar in any state
• Minimum five years of demonstrated legal experience with a major contractor or law firm in the areas of engineering and construction law
• Demonstrated extensive drafting and negotiation experience involving professional services and construction related agreements\.
• Well\-developed communications skills; able to clearly and concisely express legal issues and analysis as it pertains to business and technical concerns to executive management, commercial and finance colleagues, technical colleagues and peers
• Self\-driven & resourceful to achieve goals independently and in groups
• Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities
• Ability to generate ideas, make recommendations & come to consensus
• Excellent writing, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills
