**About the Business Line** **Environment**
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary**
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Geohydrologist for immediate employment in the Odessa, TX office reporting to the Austin, TX Remediation Department\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Environmental Due Diligence, Environmental Remediation, and Environmental Compliance\. The incumbent can look forward to projects including ESAs, remedial investigations, groundwater monitoring programs, and environmental compliance\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Assist a team of scientists and engineers that provide environmental services to public and private sector clients
+ Travel to project sites to assist with fieldwork \(e\.g\., soil sampling, groundwater sampling, monitor well installations, visual site inspections\)
+ Perform data review and prepare tables with results for the project team
+ Develop reports related to ESAs and environmental remediation projects conducted under the Texas Risk Reduction Program rule, the Railroad Commission of Texas and/or the TCEQ Leaking Petroleum Storage Tank \(LPST\) program
+ Develop Health and Safety Plans, Sampling Plans, and Site Investigation Reports
+ Support projects that may involve Phase I and Phase II environmental assessments, engine testing, NEPA, ecological site assessments, wetlands delineation and biological surveys\.
+ Report to a Remediation Department team leader, but will work under the supervision of task leaders and Project Managers
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Geology or comparable natural science degree \(e\.g\., environmental science, soil science, etc\.\)
+ 4\+ years of environmental experience including field work and document preparation
+ Valid Driver's License
+ Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
+ Ability to work independently and in a group setting
+ Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
+ Ability to multi task efficiently
+ Ability to learn through on\-the\-job experience
+ Must be adaptable to changes
+ Position involves frequent travel in support of projects \(variable range from 10% to 50%\)
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of environmental site assessments \(Phase I and II ESA’s\)
+ Experience conducting oversight of various field operations including soil/water sampling and subcontractor oversight
+ Ability to write and convey thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner
+ Ability to organize data in an efficient and clear manner
+ HAZWOPER Training
