We provide services such as program management, construction management and owner’s representation to our clients around the globe\. **Job Summary** The Southern California PM/CM division is actively seeking a construction management professional with an in depth contracting background\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate experience and expertise in delivering public sector projects and more specifically education, civic/municipal/government and transit projects\. Major responsibilities include on\-site construction management of a various public works projects\. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below: + Managing the preparation of make ready work construction documents and the procurement processes of low bid and/or job order contract + procurement + Managing the design and construction phases + Managing construction quality, constructability, inspection services, and change management + Managing construction scheduling and cost controls, construction site office administration and document control, and project close out documentation + Working as a team with the client, designers, and contractors + Knowledge of construction safety and safety procedures + Pre\-construction site analysis and planning, including considerations for temporary utilities and structure, construction, sequencing, construction site coordination, site infrastructure, construction\-related analyses and plans, etc\. + Constructability and/or peer review of architectural and engineering contract documents + Developing project phasing alternatives, including cost models + Creating alternative bidding/proposal packages + Managing quality control inspections and reports, field engineering investigations, assessments and reports + Conducts surveys of industry suppliers and vendors + Cost Estimates and Related Cost and Contingency Analyses + Start\-up, commissioning, LEED certification attainment if applicable + Grant related tasks support + Coordinate with and assist in utilizing and maintaining an issues tracking systems as necessary + Establish and maintain a project management system that provides for the estimating, forecasting, management, control, and documentation of project costs + Review all project cost estimates, and provide opinions and recommendations on them + May be requested to conduct life cycle cost analyses/studies to verify value engineering activities and other design and/or construction analyses as required + Conduct a constructability review and site logistics study + Conduct analyses and prepare reports concerning all schedules submitted by consultants and contractors + Routinely report to client the performance of key project activities and milestones in the approved project schedule + Be the clients "eyes" in the field on daily basis, coordinate the efforts of the client’s inspectors and consultant deputy + inspectors, and work closely with the contractor, to contribute to project quality + Assist with review of front end specifications + Develop and maintain change management procedures and cost control tracking tools + Develop project procedures and administer Contract Management Systems + Write service agreements and detailed scopes of work + Negotiate consultant fees **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management + 10\+ years' experience as a project manager/construction manager representing owners + California Education \(K\-12 and CCD\), Civic/Municipal/Government and Transit + Strong contracting background + Multiple delivery methods including design\-bid\-build, lease leaseback, design\-build and CM multiple prime + Strong understanding contracts and adherence to contract terms + Knowledge and experience in claims analysis **Preferred Qualifications** + Evidence of satisfactory past performance, knowledge of codes, standards, and construction/engineering processes **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
