Requisition Number: FS104317 Interest Category: Business Operations/Admin/IT Interest Sub Category: Information Technology Job Title : Information Assurance Officer Employment Category/Status: full-time Type of Position: Regular Hire Country: U.S. State: Virginia City: Dahlgren Minimum Requirements: The Information Assurance Officer (IAO) for the Department of the Navy (DoN) is an IT-1 designated position requiring a Secret Clearance with an SSBI investigation. • Bachelor’s Degree or 8 years of job related experience with 5 years specializing in Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance (IA) Certification and Accreditation (C&A) • DoD 8570.0 IAM Level II Certification • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and work within a team environment • Extensive Knowledge of : o Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) o DoD Information Assurance Policies and Processes (8500 Series) • Working Knowledge of : o DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) o Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) , Nessus scanning and Vulnerability Assessment o CTO evaluation and response o Networking and internetworking technologies including Ports, Protocols and Services (PPS) determination o Windows and Unix Operating Systems Job Description: URS, an AECOM company, has an opportunity for an Information Assurance Officer (IAO) in our Dahlgren, Virginia location! Desired Skills and Experience: • Familiarity with Naval Tactical Systems and Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) site security • NAVSEA Instruction 9400.2, Platform Information Technology Risk Approval (PIT/PRA) • NIST’s SP 800 Series of Computer Security Publications • Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Online Compliance Reporting System (OCRS), Vulnerability Management System (VMS), DON Applications and Database Management System (DADMS), and the DoD Information Technology Portfolio Repository (DITPR-DON), Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) Position Description: Will assist the Navy with determining and documenting the Information Assurance (IA) posture and obtaining IA certification of Navy afloat and Research and Development facilities. Will perform the following activities: • Ensure the compliance of the Certification and Accreditation of the Information Systems and software • Provide timely and accurate reporting of security information to all users and administrators • Track, report, and ensure compliance of the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program • Verify and validate that all required IA patches, updates and or configuration modifications are performed and tested • Develop and maintain security related documentation including DIACAP and PRA packages, software lists, boundary diagrams, dataflow diagrams, Ports Protocols and Services lists • Ensure that all users and support personnel have the required clearance level, need to know and are familiar with internal security policies and procedure. • Perform media sanitization prior to disposal • Monitor and report on HBSS compliance • Audit system activity and ensure compliance and report any unauthorized probe or penetration attempt • Review system engineering documentation, Concept of Operations, installation and configuration specifications to determine system security information and identify security concerns • Evaluate IA Controls to identify test requirements and tools based upon system design • Develop and review Security Test Plans and Procedures • Attend Configuration Control Boards and evaluate configuration changes or recommendations for Security Impact URS and AECOM have joined together as one company.
