Minimum Requirements: Associates Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline or formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of seven or more years of technical/professional experience in the specialty field. Must have a professional knowledge of applicable engineering concepts and principles, and a familiarity with related engineering fields. Must have practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to more complex engineering procedures and to prepare or make minor modifications of standard test procedures or test equipment work instructions. Position requires a Top Security/ SCI with Poly Clearance
Job Description: Perform a variety of fundamental field engineering tasks under general supervision of a senior level engineer in the installation, operations, testing and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems.
Essential Responsibilities:
1) Act of a representative of the client enforcing all construction, engineering and safety codes on a jobsite.
2) Assist owner and contractor engineering staff during site surveys and design tasks. Responsibilities include scheduling of staff and contractors and interacting with other government contractors and staff onsite.
3) Assist Project Management staff with other duties assigned, including report preparations, work plan reviews, schedule reviews and estimating and proposal review.
4) Support projects with limited scope or parts of more complex projects with detailed instructions on the intent and scope of the documents to be prepared.
5) Monitor general contractor and subcontractor ensuring their work meets the requirements of specifications and drawings.
6) Conducting inspections of contractor work, and documenting daily progress.
7) Assist in preparation of reports, correspondence or technical studies.
8) Monitor and enforce safety and security requirements for site. Duties include coordinating with onsite Safety and Security Office and projects assigned.
9) Prepare, deliver and submit presentation with assistance of General Contractor to client forces to explain work plans and coordinate work activities.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds. There is occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness.
Construction Site duties including climbing ladders up and down into protected trenches. Working in active construction areas, wear personnel protection devices for safety. Working outside in elements for all seasons.
