Job Description: AECOM is seeking a Systems Engineer in our Dahlgren, VA location!
Position Description:
Provide management support to the Fire Control and Guidance Branch (SP23) and Navigation Branch (SP24) of the Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) covering systems, hardware, software, documentation, production, acceptance test and evaluation, and logistics management for Trident SSBN Fire Control System (FCS) and SSGN Attack Weapons Control System (AWCS). Responsibilities involve direct interaction with government officials and engineering working groups on programmatic strategies to help maintain accurate records to include preparing and assembling documentation review packages, meeting materials and follow on group actions for the development and design of SP23 Fire Control System upgrades and modifications. Position may also require support for the United Kingdom (UK) programs.
Knowledgeable in project management principles for weapon system program design and development to include project specific program plans, direct support for customer design and review activity, and documentation configuration management. Previous experience with an operational background in directing weapons system operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including military service in a weapons system related job field is a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills. MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Excel experience is required. Familiarity with SharePoint and/or LiveLink a plus.
