**Job Summary** The Construction Administrationof AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Mechanical Technician for immediate employment\.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
+ Become familiar with contract documents, specifications, standards, manufacturers' material specifications, and special provisions
+ Supervise Quality Assurance/Control testing and inspect mechanical and other construction activities required as per TTC Inspection Manual\(s\)
+ Monitor the contractor's work for compliance with plans, standards and specifications prior to approving work and progress payments
+ Identify and document construction and/or QC deficiencies \(from applicable contract/standard specifications\)
+ Resolve routine technical and administrative problems on a day\-to\-day basis and refer problems to the \(Assistant\) Construction Site Manager as necessary
+ Maintain liaison with client staff, contractor representatives, and relevant third parties during construction to resolve problems
+ Assist field office staff in the verification and documentation of payment quantities
+ Maintain Inspector's Diaries \(digital or otherwise\), detailing contractor's work, contract progress and inspection milestones
+ Train subordinate staff
+ Review contractor’s application of and compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and client safety requirements
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent
+ Minimum 5\+ years of related experience
+ Proven technical knowledge of technical standards, specifications and practices related to mechanical engineering/construction
+ Ability to prioritize, multi\-task and work during either daytime and nighttime shifts, including weekends
+ Effective oral and written communication skills

+ Technical knowledge of technical standards, specifications and practices related to mechanical engineering/construction in a public sector transit facility environment
