**About the Business Line** **Environment**
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources\.
**Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Biologist for immediate employment for the San Francisco, CA office\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
+ Surveying and monitoring for sensitive biological resources and special\-status species
+ Inspecting and monitoring construction sites for compliance with resource agency permits
+ Coordinating with project team members, construction supervisors and crew members
+ Providing environmental training to construction crews
+ Preparing daily field reports
+ Conducting biological surveys and writing technical reports
+ Compiling information for permits, and assisting in office\-based tasks as needed
+ The position will be based out of the San Francisco office, and it is preferred that the candidate reside in the San Francisco Bay Area to minimize travel time to field sites
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Ecology or related field
+ Minimum one year related experience
+ Candidate should have expertise and training in relevant biological disciplines \(wildlife, plants, fisheries, herpetology, and/or entomology\) and possess strong field skills
+ Candidate must be able to identify common California plant and wildlife species\.
+ Familiarity with major environmental regulations and permits
+ Excellent communication and writing skills are required
+ Candidate should be detailed\-oriented, self\-motivated, independent, and have a strong work ethic
+ Candidate must be able to work long days outdoors in variable weather conditions \(rain or hot weather\)
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience in California and with special\-status species preferred
