Experience: • Entrants to this position must possess experience in the Engineering or Construction Industry with a minimum of 3 years in Estimating. • Must have experience with industry accepted Estimating Applications. • Demonstrated experience field/estimating experience in as many of the following areas of work as possible: Earthwork, Bridge Structure and Walls, Marine Work including Hydro, Tunnel and Rail, Reinforced Concrete Structures including: Formwork, Piling and Structural Steel. • Must have an understanding of planning and scheduling techniques, application of overhead costs, G & A and insurance. • Must have an understanding of the application of an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and the associated Work Breakdown Structure Development. • Must have an understanding of the relationship between the control estimate and the EVMS. • Due to the nature of the work, candidate must be a US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder). Position Description or Typical Responsibilities: • This position will report to the Change/Risk Manager who in turn reports directly to the Project Director. • Develop Work Breakdown Structures. • Reconciles current Project estimate comparisons with previous performance and market benchmark data. • Collects, analyzes, and archives project data and develops historical documentation. • Interfaces with the Construction Managers to develop and produce working estimates as final designs and work plans are developed. • Contribute to Constructability Team reviews and recommendations.
