Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements:
1. High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
2. Two years of experience maintaining buildings, facilities and/or equipment as a general maintenance technician in an industrial or large commercial setting, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
3. Ability to work at heights of 20 feet or above.
4. Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a respirator fit test.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with troubleshooting and basic repair of facility-related equipment such as HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, industrial lighting, etc.
2. Experience working safely around electrical systems up to 480V
3. Experience safely utilizing a wide variety of hand and power tools.
4. Ability to assist higher level technicians performing various tasks.
5. Experience working in a CMMS environment.
6. Basic computer skills for data entry, email, etc.

Physical Requirements:
• Requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
• Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.
• Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.
• Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.
• Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.
• Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
• Requires the use of a utility knife.
• Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
• Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
• Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
Special Requirements:
• Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
• Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
Job Description: URS, an AECOM company, is seeking a 3rd shift General Maintenance Technician II in East Peoria, IL! Typical work hours are 11:00pm – 7:30am; hours may vary based on business demand.
This position primarily provides support services to an industrial paint line. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: conducting preventive maintenance on equipment and performing inspections, lubrications, cleaning, filter changes, etc. Performs basic electrical and mechanical repairs, assists higher level technicians, and escalates work orders through the work order system as needed.
These responsibilities will carry over to multiple facilities. The ability to safely work at heights of 20 feet or above is required. A valid driver’s license is preferred. Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a respirator fit test.
