The Operations Manager is responsible for advising the Vice President, conducting sales, bidding, service acceptance and equipment and directing the organization and facilities necessary to the accomplishment of these functions. In addition, the Operations Manager's responsibilities will include but are not limited to: • Ensure tickets are signed each day and sent to payroll to comply with CSOX procedures • Process daily tickets for customers for man-hours or FAC’s • Assist payroll in ensuring all tickets are in for Monday Payroll • Track Purchase orders for re-billable or Job costs • Ensure Re-billable are billed to customers • Enter purchase order into system after processing • Assist Field Supervisors with day to day needs • Provide correct Job types and rates to charge customers • Assist in the collection of overdue accounts • Oversee shop activity, repairs of fleet and hauling of equipment • Controls Non-billable dead time • Set up and monitor contract jobs • Set up jobs files after award of job in complacence with CSOX procedures • Maintain job books based on CSOX auditing procedures • Recommend compensation adjustments when warranted. • Recognize promotions, transfers and terminations when justified and provide appropriate documentation • Complete hire package before giving to District Manager • Fill out rate increases for approval by District Manager • Fill out terminations in a timely manner and forward to District Manager • Demonstrate leadership ability by complying with Flint’s core values and vision • Demonstrate the ability to define and communicate objectives to staff •Delegate and prioritize assignments, and accomplish desired results through others • Comply and set expectations for staff to comply with all laws and regulations • Enforce the appropriate disciplinary actions as necessary when not in compliance • Ensure that the employee mentor program is working effectively within the District. • Manage employee issues • Process hire packages for District Manager’s final approval • Request subsistence’s advances as needed • Track vacation for all exempt and non-exempt staff employees • Actively participate in identifying and implementing continuous improvement processes • Focus primarily on improving operational performance • Enhance the profitability and job margins of district operations • Demonstrate and improve current knowledge of business management and principles • Financial statement review & analysis • Operational/construction cost control • Review expense reports prior to submitting to District Manager • Oversees and directs day-to-day field operations to ensure appropriate personnel, equipment, budget and schedule are met • Monitors and tracks rental equipment • Responsible for obtaining insurance certificate from Corporate Tulsa office • Complete Equipment rental form and forward to District Manager • Tracks short term and long term rentals • Keep Tulsa informed of what is released • Provide necessary tools, equipment and/or materials • Comply with the following Safety Expectations • Set the expectations for all Leadership positions in regards to Safety • Enforce all policies both from the Customer/Client and FESI • During significant safety incidents, be on site and take control or assign appropriate staff to ta control of the situation • Demonstrate continuous improvement techniques. • Proven business awareness, judgment, with demonstrated understanding in a large, geographically dispersed Construction Company. • Demonstrate knowledge of our industrial construction footprint in the petroleum industry • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and vendors • The ability to prepare and present concise, understandable business reports utilizing effective oral and written communication skills • Familiarity with personal computers, including spreadsheet and word processing applications and ongoing training matrix of JD Edwards applications • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Ability to travel. • Recruit, select, and assign subordinate personnel • Assess and define training and development needs • Initiate and recommend formal training and other personnel actions as needed • Manage employee issues We invite you to take the next step toward THE BEST WORK OF YOUR LIFE EOE M/F/Disability/Veteran
