Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design\. **Job Summary** The Buildings \+ Places group of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Structural Engineer for immediate employment in the Atlanta office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Building Design, specific to commercial and institutional projects\. The successful candidate will use 3D structural analysis software to produce design calculations and reports; work with CAD technicians to produce construction documents and insure assignment meet building codes as well as client requirements\. The candidate can look forward to projects that include a variety of building types including Office, Industrial, Commercial, Educational, and Healthcare\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor Degree in Civil engineering with emphasis in structural design
+ 4 years of relevant structural engineering experience with engineering or A/E firm
+ Experience in developing and preparing design calculations and construction documents for commercial, institutional and/or federal projects
+ Experience coordinating work with Civil, Architectural, and MEP disciplines
+ Field experience with observing construction progress and capable of providing construction administration services
+ Strong technical skills in structural design, detailing and analysis of steel and concrete structures
+ Strong writing, verbal and graphic communication skills
+ Ability to effectively organize tasks
+ Familiarity with Building Codes \(IBC, AISC, ACI AND ASCE 7\)
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Word and Excel, and Working knowledge of Revit 3D modeling
+ EIT or ability to obtain PE in one to two years
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience with RAM Elements structural design software
+ Experience with construction administration services including shop drawing review and interaction with onsite contractors
