Requisition Number: IE103306 Interest Category: Construction Interest Sub Category: Construction Services Job Title : Estimator Employment Category/Status: full-time Type of Position: Temporary Country: Mexico State: San Luis Potosi City: Villa de Reyes Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and/or related experience • Entrants to this position require extensive experience in the Engineering or Construction Industry with 12 years in estimating • 6 years of experience on a project performing work outside the estimating function that can be equated into knowledge required to be a strong Estimator • Demonstrated field / estimating experience in as many of the following areas of work as possible: Earthwork, Concrete, Electrical, Utilities- Wet & Dry, Structural steel, Pre-engineered facilities, Pavements, Architectural Finishes • Has a strong understanding of planning and scheduling, overheads, G&A and insurances • Past experience as lead estimator on projects of $100 million and higher in the Industrial Process and Automotive Manufacturing fields • Experience with EPC project delivery methods including goals and objectives, scope development, execution planning and scheduling, WBS/EVMS, Estimate planning and development, contract negotiation, project management, construction management, change management, project close-out and historical data collection and validation • Expectation management, negotiation, influencing and making things happen when you have little or no formal authority over those contributing to the estimate General: • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) • Internet • Fully Proficient in English and Spanish and Basic / intermediate German level Specific: • Responsible for the technical aspects of planning and organizing the work of team members • Develops Work Breakdown Structures • Leads the preparation of an estimate, final estimate packages, and performs estimate reviews for accuracy and completeness • Evaluates suitability of scope and execution plan for basis of estimate • Prepares Estimate Plans (approach, techniques, level of effort, cost, schedule), Basis of Estimates, and qualifications • Prepares bid tabulations responding to the customer/Request for Proposal requirements • Collects, analyzes and archives project data. Develops historical documentation • Reconciles current project estimate comparisons with previous performance and market benchmark data • Negotiates internal issues, priorities, and deadlines • Prepares and negotiates change orders • Performs contingency and risk analysis • Delivers estimate presentations as necessary Job Description: URS, an AECOM company, is seeking an Estimator Specialist to be based in our San Luis Potosi, Mexico location to support a 3+ years field construction project for the automotive industry. This position will be responsible for site Estimation Process activities associated with the project.
