**Job Summary** AECOM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan on the MOSC\-A contract as a **Howitzer Repairman** \. The Howitzer Repairman performs repairs and adjustments as required\. Disassembles, examines parts, adjusts components and assemblies as required\. Repairs and or modifies mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems\. Assembles systems, such as elevating, traversing, recoil, rammer and firing systems, breeches, gun tube and cannon tubes, pumps, shields and their related components\. Determines serviceability of parts\. Diagnoses and determines remedies for failures commonly encountered in the repair of howitzer systems\. Uses a variety of diagnostic techniques and TMDE while using specific technical manuals\. May instruct other employees in the proper repair maintenance procedures and capabilities of turret artillery maintenance and related TMDE\. Safely uses common\-hand tools and shop equipment effectively without assistance\.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required\.
+ Army or equivalent MOS training/certificate required\.
+ 1\-3 years experience in Howitzer Armament Systems at DS/GS level on M119 105MM, M198 155MM and M777 155MM Howitzer required\.
+ Must have good knowledge of tools and repair equipment\.
+ Must have active secret clearance\.
+ Must complete PQS training Program within 30 days of arrival\.
+ Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively during a 77 hour work week\.
+ Must be able to lift 25 Lbs\. continuously, 50 Lbs intermittently\.
+ Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures\.
+ Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions\.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ US Army MOS 45k or 91k or USMC MOS 2131 preferred\.
