**Job Summary**
The Highway Group within the Transportation Department has a need to hire a Graduate Engineer\. This person will primarily perform design and project delivery activities on highway projects including but not limited to roadway design, drainage design, and Hydraulic Analysis\. He or she may be required to assist other departments as needed\. This candidate will be required to perform design calculations, run hydraulic models, prepare design drawings, estimates, and specifications\. The successful candidate will work closely with his/her supervisor and along other civil engineers and engineering technician Senior Designers\. AECOM seeks individuals who are motivated to learn, grow, and seek out new project responsibilities\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Analyze data and design engineering
+ Under close supervision from a professional or suitably experienced engineer, makes technical assumptions and thinks independently to complete assigned work
+ Technical report writing
+ Overall assistance in multifaceted highway projects
+ Perform standard computations or analysis
+ Run models, calculations, and design software
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Related Field
+ Registered EIT in Texas or obtain within one year of hire
+ Must be proficient with industry standard computer design and CAD software for this position \(examples include software such as Geopak Road, Geopak Drainage, Microstation/ AutoCAD, HEC\-RAS, HEC\-HMS, Culvert Master\)
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 2\+ years of experience in Highway engineering including roadway, drainage design, and H&H analysis of highway water crossings
