**Job Summary** AECOM are looking to recruit a Princpal Structural Engineer to work in our busy Edinburgh office\.
Our structural engineering department is predominantly self sustaining and project work is won within the region and beyond\. We also assist other offices and other disciplines requiring structural input as required\. You will take full responsibility for delivering and coordinating projects in terms of design, delivering projects within financial constraints, identifying change and arranging for additional instructions\. \.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in traditional materials, have excellent communication skills, have the ability to learn new design software, possess excellent report writing skills and be able to manage projects and liaise with clients\. You will be knowledgeable of contracts/legal/scope of works/etc
**Minimum Requirements**
Key requirements of the role are as follows:
+ BSc / MSc in Structural / Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline
+ MIStructE / MICE or equivalent
+ SER Registered or eligible to become SER Registered
+ Experienced on a wide range of Building Structures projects \- Education, MOD\.\.\.
+ Proven project engineer with experience of managing internal project teams
+ Ability to liaise with other Design Team disciplines external to AECOM
+ Ability to deal with projects during the construction phase
+ Ability to communicate fluently and clearly in English both verbal and written knowledge of Eurocodes, knowledge of building design, commercial awareness
**Preferred Qualifications** • MIStructE / MICE or equivalent\.
