**Job Summary** The Transportation Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Highway& Bridge Engineer for immediate employment in the Houston, Texas office\. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Construction Management and Inspection, specific to Highway & Bridge Projects\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Coordinates with Contractor, Client, and Staff daily to ensure the project is constructed in accordance to the plans and specifications
+ Maintain proper documentation of the work
+ Prepare and develop change orders
+ Review and check inspectors pay quantities
+ Attend progress meetings and take notes
+ Review and make recommendations on contractors submittals
+ Investigate and prepare necessary design changes to the plans
+ Oversee and develop lower staff
+ Active with local engineering groups
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
+ 2\-5 minimum years of experience
+ Able to effectively communicate and negotiate with contractors and client
+ Have extensive knowledge of highway design and the development of maintenance contracts
+ Market and Sell services Highway and Bridge services
+ Knowledgeable in MS Office
+ EIT Certification
+ ACI would be a benefit
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 2 years working on the design of TxDOT Highway and Bridge Projects
+ 5 years working in construction management of TxDOT Highway and Bridge Projects
