**About the Business Line** **Energy**
We address the complete spectrum of energy challenges, including clean and renewable energy, energy efficiency and carbon management, hydropower and dams, thermal, geothermal and wind power generation, and transmission and distribution\.
**Job Summary** The successful candidate is expected to grow revenues in the Mid Atlantic Transmission & Distribution Power Sector\. AECOM DCS has relations with the major local electric companies, however, there is no high level manager with the expertise in T&D which is necessary to bring creditable experience and knowledge to large project pursuits\. Examples of projects needed to target are the Pepco $1 Billion DC Plug as well as the yet to be announced major electrical project associated with the new DC Soccer stadium to be built in Southeast DC\. Another benefit would be the ability of offering significant support to power outage investigations and system reliability and resiliency evaluations\. It is expected that hiring an experience T&D executive will provide access to corporate decision makers\. This person will also be able to provide insights to Mid Atlantic T&D needs which otherwise might not be common knowledge\. It is expected that strategic capture and possible staffing plans would be developed\. Other Power business leads within AECOM would be able to call on this person as needed\. It is expected that this individual will identify new potential T&D projects, get AECOM on bidders list, make strategic contacts with utility executives, provide strategic guidance to AECOM on proposals and pursuits, lead teams, develop and mentor internal staff\.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Operation, maintenance and construction of T&D systems
+ Verify safety and environmental compliance related to T&D systems
+ Manage budgets over $20 million and staffs larger than 100 employees\-Participate in pre bid meetings
+ Review and provide guidance on proposal documents
+ Present to utility executives AECOM T&D capabilities
+ Provide support and consultation with AECOM staff across the company
+ Identify and pursue opportunities and evolving T&D projects including new generation
+ Assist with leading pursuit teams
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Graduate Engineering Degree
+ Minimum 30 years of experience
+ Experience in Electric Transmission & Distribution as well as Generating Plant Engineering, Operations Maintenance and Construction
