Our global network of top\-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries\. **Job Summary** Our Team is looking for a Construction Manager/Resident Engineer in our Greenville Office\. This person will be looked upon as a leader to others and will be responsible for multiple projects, deliverables and client relations\. Duties to Include: + Manage and support highway and bridge construction projects as construction/resident/field engineer or design engineer + Able to effectively communicate and negotiate with contractors and client + Market and Sell Construction services in for Highway and Bridge projects in South Carolina\. + Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems\. + Determine labor requirements and coordinate inspections at construction sites\. + Assure proper administration of all project payments\. + Direct and supervise inspectors + Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer\. + Plan, organize, and direct activities associated with the construction of transportation infrastructure + Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports\. \. + Select, contract, and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project, such as painting or plumbing\. + Study job specifications to ensure construction complies with specifications + Develop and implement quality control programs **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Related Discipline + 5\+ years of SCDOT Construction Management and Design Experience on Projects + SCDOT Inspector Certifications in Asphalt Roadway’s, Nuclear Gauge, Earthwork and Concrete or the ability to obtain these certifications within the first year + Ability to travel across the State in support of projects and to Market our CEI Services + Licensed PE in South Carolina **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience on both highway and bridge construction projects in South Carolina + Proven business development experience **What We Offer** AECOM is a place where you can put your innovative thinking and business skills into high gear and work alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people\.
