Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements:
1. High School Graduate or Demonstrated Equivalent.
2. Ten years of experience in Facilities Maintenance as a technician, planner, specialist, or a related technical role in an industrial environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Four years of experience in a Lead or Supervisory role.
2. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent trade school credentials preferred.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites with emphasis on the ability to navigate and formulate within Excel and Access
4. Experience in a supervisory or sub-contract management capacity within a technical industrial or manufacturing environment
5. Experience in a leadership position demonstrating the ability to analyze Facility Maintenance related problems (i.e. Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Grounds); then recognize and determine solutions (engineered or otherwise) for resolution. This includes but is not limited to: opportunities for improved asset reliability, improved quality results, safer work conditions, lower maintenance cost, and improved work plans to increase efficiency.
6. Experience developing Power Point presentations and presenting in front of large audiences
7. Experience with the development and training of a multi-skilled technical workforce
8. Experience creating metrics and data mining for driving performance results
9. Experience utilizing Continuous Improvement disciplines such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, 4 M’s, etc.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access data bases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents.
• Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other URS, customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations.
• Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings and presentations.
• Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.
• Requires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations.
• Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
Special Requirements:
• Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
• Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
Job Description: URS, an AECOM company, is seeking a 1st shift facility maintenance Supervisor in Decatur, IL! Typical work hours are 7:00am – 3:30pm; hours may vary based on business demand.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: technical support, direction, safety training, audits and quality control to URS process/facility/contract employees in a fast paced industrial environment. The supervisor is responsible for the prioritization of work based on needs of the client and for the on-time completion of all work, as well as all documentation involved. The supervisor will also provide and / or schedule needed training and cross-training for multi-functional employees. Responsible for implementation of all safety rules and guidelines for all URS employees. Responsible for scheduling, planning, documentation, maintaining performance and reporting with URS management team and client.
Responsibilities:
• Audits work performance for safety actions and quality of work, and provides coaching as needed.
• Reviews new job requests to differentiate between in-scope and non-scope work, and addresses accordingly.
• Maintains effective performance of individual employees and the worksite team.
• Reviews and approves time reporting.
• Compiles, maintains and presents various reports to AECOM management and client teams.
