Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and least 10-12 years' experience or combination of education, certifications and specialized industry experience (subject to the Government Contracting Officer granting a waiver).
Experience with McAfee ePolicy / End Point Protection Suite administration including the ability to configure and resolve complex issues in support of enterprise class customers (7,000+ users) in a geographically dispersed environment
Experience with McAfee 5.2 strongly desired.
Experience creating and following complex procedures with consistent, and successful results
Process and discipline for production environment in IT Operations
Experience with Pointsec or McAfee endpoint or other enterprise class encryption systems is desired
TEM, SCCM, and SWIMAGE / Encore experience is desired
Patch management lifecycle: include testing, scheduling, deployment is desired
U.S. Citizen or have legal right to work in the USA without sponsorship (Agency check will be required for this position)
This role may require working evenings and weekends to support the agency. Occasional on-call support may be a requirement. Will require<10% Travel.
Job Description: AECOM is seeking a Lead Antivirus/McAfee Engineer to join our team! Work location is based in downtown Washington DC near Union Station and other Metro DC locations as required.
The Lead Antivirus/McAfee Engineer will provide advanced, senior-level technical support for McAfee ePO technologies and End Point Protection suite including virus protection, HIPS, encryption, firewall, and related services in use at the company. This person will also support Pointsec encryption technologies and other advanced workstation utilities. Other job responsibility will be to perform backup for the TEM patching, and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager systems and help implement patches across the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and report on the protection suite status including endpoint versions
• Monitor and report on virus detection activity
• Deploy technology updates and ensure ongoing vendor support and licensing for technology deployment technologies
• Identify process and technical improvements for the environment
• Report on ticket status and updates on issues when in progress
• Provide outstanding technical support and customer service
• Resolve and document complex issues including root cause analysis, prevention and workarounds
Daily operations duties related to the management and maintenance of the workstation infrastructure in the production environment include:
• McAfee ePolicy/End Point Protection Suite administration including virus protection, HIDS/HIPS, firewall, encryption and other workstation security technologies
• Pointsec encryption status monitoring and assisting Tier II with decryption issues
• Tier III workstation infrastructure support
