**Job Summary**
AECOM are seeking a Material Engineer to supervise the construction of a Sewage Treatment Plant in Dubai\. The role reports to the Resident Engineer and will report on all matters concerning site materials and the management of the site laboratories\.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Quality Control of the works with respect to materials
+ Liaise with the Contractor’s Materials Engineer
+ Review and approve design mix formula for materials
+ Ensure calibration of the laboratory equipment and plants
+ Give approval for borrow pits \(Location and classification\)
+ Preparation of the materials section of the final report
**Minimum Requirements** The successful candidate must have at least 10 years of experience on major infrastructure projects in the UAE, particularly sewage treatment plants\. Should also have prior experience with local authorities and hands on knowledge of ISO 9000 quality systems\.
**Preferred Qualifications** Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is essential for this role\.
