**Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Design and Construction Intern for immediate employment for the Los Angeles, CA office\. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects\.
Under the supervision of the Vice President of Design and Construction and the Senior Project Manager of Design and Construction, the Intern to the Project Manager of Design and Construction is responsible for providing administrative support and project assistance to the project management staff\. The position requires a responsible individual who pays careful attention to detail, has strong problem\-solving, verbal and written communication skills, and is highly organized\.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
+ Research and compile project information for reporting, marketing, and funding requests
+ Create and maintain centralized files for project records \(including digital\)
+ Coordinate logistics and meetings for Vice President and Project Managers
+ Attend and take minutes for the development team as requested
+ Help in the preparation of reports, including monthly development reports
+ Assist with community outreach duties as needed
+ Attend neighborhood, community, and project meetings
+ Assist with bid and qualifications processes to select project consultants
+ Assist in the management of project consultants
+ Assist with entitlements and permit approvals from City planning, building inspection, and other agencies
+ Assist during the construction process including processing change orders and complying with local government and lender requirements
+ Undertake tasks as may be assigned by the Vice President or Project Managers
+ Have a clear understanding of the budget and assist in the creation of and adherence to project and development budgets
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Currently pursuing Bachelor's Degree \(Architecture or Interiors\)
+ High level of proficiency with Excel, Word and database applications
+ Strong problem\-solving skills and consistent attention to detail
+ Manage changing deadlines and work well under pressure for multiple team leaders
+ Work independently and effectively to prioritize multiple tasks
+ Highly organized with excellent time management skills
+ Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Exposure to multi\-family, mixed use, and hospitality development
