Job Responsibilities/Duties
Provides overall ownership, management and execution of the Process Systems and Engineering Support activities and schedule commitments relating to process and control system engineering.
The Process System and Engineering support group provides facility and process systems monitoring, engineering, and software quality and configuration management including system and network management and administration resources to support assigned engineering programs, equipment and facilities. The focus of the group is on providing process software engineering support to operations, configuration management, process network and system management to day to day operation and maintenance of the Production Operations and Retrieval and Closure (R&C) Facilities. The area of responsibility includes both DST and SST Tank Farm Facilities including the 242-A Evaporator, ETF, 222S Labs, R&C and assigned Engineering programs.
Facilitates and monitors the implementation of company policies and procedures associated with WRPS, Productions Operations and Retrieval Closure software engineering and configuration management activities and commitments. Monitors the consistent application of current Best Business Practices in accordance with process and control engineering processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering and a minimum of 10 years experience with instrumentation, process systems or facilities (commercial or DOE), also working knowledge of Process and Control System Engineering activities and scope.
Desired Qualifications
At least 7 years experience with process systems and instrumentation. Experience with software engineering support to corrective and preventive maintenance of nuclear facility and lab systems, including work package development and planning, and experience working with operations personnel is required. Also other experience to include:
Working knowledge of Managing Process & Control System technical staff
Software Engineering and System Management
Detail knowledge of Software Quality and Software Configuration Management for nuclear facilities.
General knowledge of process cyber security programs, planning and implementation
Working knowledge of Project Estimation and Project Execution Skills
Cost & Schedule Forecasting, Cost Tracking, Work Assignment, Planning & Execution
Software quality assurance assessment
Operations and/or Engineering experience in multiple facilities including Tank farms and Labs,
