**Job Summary**
AECOM are currently looking for an experienced **Senior CAD Technician** to join our Bridges and Structures team in Basingstoke\. We are part of the European Bridges and Structures sector which operates from more than 25 office locations across the UK and Europe and has more than 400 engineers and technicians\.
Our team is based in the Basingstoke office and specialise in the design of major civil engineering structures, predominantly for contractor clients\. We have an established reputation for producing elegant and economical designs, specialising in high\-quality structures across the spectrum of civil and structural engineering\. Our projects include the design of bridges, underground structures, tunnels, marine structures and major temporary works\.

**Job responsibilities:**
+ Taking the lead for the development of suites of structural drawings for major projects\.
+ Creating and overseeing CAD and RC drawings\.
+ Ensuring drawings meet customer and company standards\.
+ Liaising with internal contacts to determine client requirements\.
+ Supporting other team members and expanding the project portfolio with RC detailing\.
**Minimum Requirements** For this role you will have the following:
+ Experienced in preparing structural engineering drawings and details\.
+ Excellent working knowledge of AutoCad and RC detailing\.
+ Effective communication skills and a good team player\.
+ Excellent bridge detailing working knowledge\.
+ Experience in 3D modelling would be advantageous\.
**Preferred Qualifications** You will ideally be educated to HNC/HND level or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a CAD related engineering subject
