**About the Business Line** **Water**
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design\-build\.
**Job Summary** AECOM has an excellent career opportunity in San Francisco, California for a Civil Water/Wastewater Engineer\. This person will support Project Engineers and Project Managers providing engineering improvements on municipal water and wastewater infrastructure facilities including treatment plants pump stations, pipelines and green infrastructure\.
+ Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations
+ Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well\-defined procedures
+ Exercises judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
+ Supervisor screens assignments for unusual or difficult problems and selects techniques and procedures to be applied on non\-routine work
+ Receives close supervision on new aspects of assignments
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
+ 3\-5 years of experience as a consulting engineer in the municipal water/wastewater industry
+ Registered Professional Engineer \(PE\) in California or currently in process of acquiring
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective client presentations and written report preparation
+ Demonstrated strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and excellent computer skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
+ Water distribution system and wastewater collection system planning, hydraulic modeling, and design experience
