Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements:
• Must have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in civil/geotechnical engineering from a four (4) year accredited college or university.
• Must have an interest/be seeking a career in civil/geotechnical analyses, engineering/design development and report preparation for development of new earthen structure facilities, upgrade/expansion/remediation of existing earthen structure facilities, or closure of earthen structure facilities that have reached end of useful life.
• Must have minimum of seven (7) years of experience in civil/geotechnical engineering focusing on geotechnical projects, landfill design, general civil projects, storm water design, and construction of large earthen projects.
• Must have experience with one or more of the following:
o impoundments,
o embankments,
o landfills,
o closure covers
• Must have experience with the following Microsoft suite of products:
o Excel,
o Word,
o Project,
• Valid Driver's License
• Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering or Engineer-in-training Examination.
• Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Requirements:
• Previous internship with an engineering firm.
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer in a state which uses the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying exam
• Experience with environmental remediation activities at government, industrial, or other commercial sites
• 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Familiar with computer aided design tools using AutoDesk products such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, or Bentley products such as Microstation and PowerCivil platforms.
• Studies in or experience using geotechnical modeling software tools.

Position Description:
The AECOM Management Services Group is seeking a highly motivated civil/geotechnical engineer with a minimum of seven (7) or more years of experience to support projects involving coal combustion byproduct (CCB) and solid/hazardous/radioactive waste management facility development /expansion/remediation/closure. Facilities to be assessed, engineered, designed, built, expanded, or closed include impoundments, tailings piles, earthen dams, landfills, and other more highly engineered disposal units. Will be responsible for working independently and together with other experienced civil/geotechnical engineers in planning, developing, overseeing construction activities and performing construction quality assurance activities.
Engineer(s) may work on a team or with experienced managers, and with subcontractors. Some travel is required as locations span the U.S.
