**About the Business Line** **Energy**
We address the complete spectrum of energy challenges, including clean and renewable energy, energy efficiency and carbon management, hydropower and dams, thermal, geothermal and wind power generation, and transmission and distribution\.
**Job Summary**
+ Plan and provide clear direction to the sub\-Contractors of activities to be completed on a daily basis\.
+ Technically guide the sub\-Contractors on site
+ Perform soil appraisals and compare to the geotechnical data \. Request for further investigation where necessary
+ Review stub and rebar setting Supervise rebar preparation, concrete batching, casting to fulfill standard requirements\.
+ Perform quality checks on all construction
+ Perform safety review of all construction activities and report all unsafe acts and incidents
+ Act as safety custodian for AECOM
+ Monitor progress and report to RPM
+ Ensure Environmental compliance on site and report challenges to key personnel
+ Deal with community challenges / local contractors / local tribes / elders
+ To live on site
+ Evaluate material quality
**Personal attributes, qualities or competencies needed for the role:**
+ Team player

+ Able to work alone and with Team in any African country
+ Can speak, read and write English language fluently
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Must have minimum of seven \(5\) years’ experience in transmission line or related projects\.
+ Experience in 400kV steel lattice line
+ Experience in line and substation construction standards and techniques i\.e\. full tension stringing, tower erection, foundations, steel erection, equipment erection, etc\.
+ Must have a solid understanding of safety for T&D projects
+ Must have a strong character, attitude and approach
+ Must be able to work alone and without supervision
**Preferred Qualifications** B\.Sc\. in Electrical Engineering or an Electrical Technician from a recognized institution\.
